I don't really use artificial sweetners (at least not intentionally).  I'm sure there have been some in a few of the things I have eaten over the years.  I try not to worry too much about those things because sometimes they change their minds about these studies .  Also, I think everything in moderation is probably ok.

I use sweet n low in my coffee for years but for the past 10 yrs. have had
coffee a couple of times a year so I don't think I will have any problems.
I drink Chamba Chai tea now.

I try to avoid any artificial any thing.  Portion control is more important than substituting for sugars and fats.
My husband likes to use stevia sweetner in his coffee.  I'll take mine black and straight.

I do not use sugar in my coffee or Iced Tea.  I did buy Sun Crystals (all-natural sweetener) to keep on
hand in case I need the sweetner.

I swig aspartame in all my Diet Soda ...... when I was a heavy smoker my neurologist yelled all the time that the aspartame was worse than smoking and I had to quit my Diet Pepsi.   (So I quit smoking and all the docs won't quit yelling about aspartame.)
I love the diet soda and can't stand the regular.  I've tried to quit but, gee, I want that stuff.

I don't use sugar in my coffee or tea; however, I do drink diet soda.  I guess moderation is the key.

I think I'm going to buy some Truvia to use in my coffee and ice tea, sadly I think I will give up my diet pop.:( My hubby says he will continue to use the sweet n low as always and drink his diet pop,he does not know what water is! lol With all my vascular problems I think I'm going to be more cautious. Now I drink at least a half gallon of water everyday but I like a little sweet in my coffee and iced tea.

Artificial anything probably isn't good for you.  That being said, some of the studies they do seem to be just for the "bad thing of the month".  Remember when they said eggs were bad and then a while later came back and said eggs were good?  Same thing with so many different things so you don't know what to believe anymore.

Let's face it, we're all going to die from something.  That's what I told the doctor who wanted me to take statins for (hereditary) high cholesterol.  All we can do is listen to our bodies and not over-do anything.

I use Splenda or Truvia, as they seem to be the safest of the artificial sweeteners. I also try to cut back on my use of regular sugar, except in baking. lol

I don't use sugar in either coffee or tea and don't like the taste of anything with artificial sweetener.  I also don't like soda, either regular or diet (ycch!).  My drink of choice is water or hot tea

I remember when aspartame was first coming out.  I was in grad school and was on a  taste panel for it.  We were served drinks sweetened with it and we were to say which was the sweetest.  We also were NOT allowed to swallow it.  I gues it hadn't been determined if it was safe to consume.  I guess it won't hurt anyone unless a ton of it is consumed daily
