What are your favorite apples and why?  I order Northern Spy apples from Michigan, as I was born there, and love them for eating and baking.

I can't wait until fall baking and making all the recipes I have using apples.I have a recipe using apple peels and cores to make apple jelly. My family and friends all love it.My mistakes went for apple syrup to be used on french toast and pancakes. My brother and a friend of ours who is a chef used it as a glaze for pork and chicken. The only problem they want more mistakes! lol !

Love Granny Smith for baking in breads, pies, and crisps, but for eating fresh it is Fuji! We have a Golden Delicious tree in our yard, and I use those mainly for applesauce, and crisps. I usually freeze both of those.
