Found this great recipe at this site:  http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/teddy-bear-race-cars-232305/

Children can make these themselves, which is always fun!

Teddy Bear Race Cars
1 packet of mini Mars Bars or Milky Way chocolate bars
1 family packet of M&Ms or Smarties
1 box of Tiny Teddy cookies
1 cup of icing sugar icing paste for glue ( mix half cup of icing sugar and a teaspoon of cocoa powder with a few drops of hot water)

Glue each of the 4 wheels (M&Ms or Smarties) on to the sides of the chocolate bars. Press into each center a tiny teddy cookie. Glue on an M&M steering wheel for each one.

Just wait till Nancy sees this...she will be making them for the kids at church or bringing in the supplies for the kids to make them.
What fun.  I am going to send this to a friend that has a couple of kids they will have a blast doing this.

Here I am - lol -  I've already copied and sent it to myself.    What a wonderful idea.  Thank you, Verlee, thank you!
The kids are gonna' love this.   Second Sunday of each month I supply the goodies so Oct. 13, is my next turn.
I just made a batch of Kris Kringle Peanut Butter Cups and stuck them in the freezer.  Now I wonder .................

my question is      can you really find the       mars bars     either mini or regular       or is this an old recipe
mars bars have always been my very favorite candy and was my moms
we could only get the mini's around Halloween and only some stores had them we used to buy many bags

cute recipe
I've looked and no one near Houston even sells the original mars bar for quite a while

GRANA here;
Hi VERLEE T;
 Thanks for a cute recipe idea.I like this sort of assembly project: n oven to heat  up no knives needed&  even the youngest  can participate in creating yummy  treats for  snacks& desserts.; a great rainy day or after school projectto create dinner's dessert together...Chances are your youngsters& you will think of other creative  projects by assembling ifferent ready made  cookies& candies w/ frosting " glue"
I saw one for making snowmen using"Vienna" wafersI thinkI saved it somewhere????????????Undecided

If the mini stuff is not around "super size" the project and use the slightly larger candy and the regular size teddy grahams.  I bet it would just as cute.

Nikki - a teddy graham is a small flat rectangle right?
 I know nothing about crackers and/or cookies.

Teddy Grahams are little bear shaped graham crackers. (personally I never liked them as much as Goldfish or Animal crackers but that's another thing)
You should be able to find them with all the other cookies and snacks.  I did not know they came out with mini ones.  Shows how "out of touch" I am.

Finally ----- this morning I found a box containing 12 small bags of Teddy Grahams ......... 4 bags of chocolate teddies, 4 of cinnamon and 4 of honey.  I would rather have a regular box/bag of regular teddy grahams but I'm happy I found anything that will work.
Whew

Nancy, my regular grocery store (Vons - owned by Safeway) carries Teddy Grahams by Nabisco. This is what you can look for:

Nellie, have you checked Target for the Mars bars? My Target in California carries them all year. I know, because I like them as well!!!
