Sounds cute;I'llhave to try it the next time the grand kids come over .I  think I'll set my octupus on a bed of  mac& cheese or baked beans surrounde d by a sauerrkraut seaweed bed

The kids love this.  Here it is served with mac and cheese made with shell pasta and spinach for the seaweed.

My cousin made these for his daughter's Little Mermaid/Under the Sea birthday party.  They were a big hit with the kids.

There was a restaurant in Park Rapids, MN that used to make this for children when our children were little.  They always asked to go there when passing through so they could have their "octopus".  Thanks for mentioning it, now I can make it for my grandchild.

That sounds like a great idea!  I can remember my Mom cutting my sandwich up to make it into a butterfly or a house.  Kids love those things.
