A true friend, reaches for your hand; but, touches your heart

Friends are the family you choose for yourself. Recognizing a fair weather friend can be a very hurtful experience, but in the end just know you are better off without them. Although hard to spot at first, a rainy day friend will surely disappear on a cloudy day. On the other hand, a good friend will be that rainbow that you need after the storm."♥

True friends are with you through thick and thin. Not just there when things are going great and when you have a problem or illness in the family, they are gone, never to be heard from again. I have had both. At that point in time you know who your real friends are. They are still there for you. I'm sure we all have had both.

True friends are those that are always there for you. They are they ones that you may not see often enough, but when you see them, you pick up right where you left off. It seems like you were just with them the day before. They are the ones that you can call and they will be there for you and do anything for you.

The all apply, but the quote is the best. Most of my 'friends' I consider aquaitnances. I have quite of few of those online (Facebook and gaming), some from my kid's schools, and even some that are blood relatives.
I have very few true friends, and treat them like family. I know they will be there for me at my worst, as I will be there for them.

When I met the man who would become my husband he always said.."I have many acquaintance's but only a few friends". At the time I didn't understand what he meant I now know and agree.
I guess if you do a quick calculation a real friend is one that will come to your aid for any reason in the middle of the night no questions asked. Anyone else you would wait until a decent hour to call.

What you have listled, all apply to "What is a True Friend". But I think there is a difference between a Friend and Best Friend. A "True Friend" is you "Best Friend"!

My father always told me if you have one true friend in your lifetime you are a very fortunate person.I married my true friend,he is there for me no matter what.Most pople would have walked away.

my best friend is my sister she will listen not talk shes always there for me . if she calls i am there for her .we can cry together or laugh and we don't judge each other and we give love
