Heart shaped cookies! Dainty spritz through the cookie press ( I have a recipe that uses a pkg of jello to supply the color and give them extra flavor) Also I will make a platter-sized cookie for each of the family with names written on with frosting or spelled out with chocolate chips.

Will be making a special meal for hubby and planning to make Verlee's
choc. covered cherries. Hubby will take me out for a special dinner but
not on Valentine's Day. Restaurants are too busy on the 14th.

I'm planning a nice dinner for my hubby and son.I'm thinking steak on the grill,crab legs,baked potato and salad.We'll start with shrimp cocktail.and end with a pistachio cake,I have heart shaped cake pans to bake the cake in.That is also my pups birthday he will be two! I can't believe he has been with us almost two years.

On Sunday, Feb. 12, I will try to come up with some Valentine's project for the kids in the art class at church. The most important thing will be helping them make a gift for their moms. I've seen a lovely little rose bud made with a chocolate kiss, a piece of wire, artificial leaf and pink celophane.

We are bowling for the cure of breast cancer on Feb. 14th.
What ever our total score is we give a penny to help with the cure
for breast cancer. If you bowl a total of 500 points you give $5.00.
We do this every Febr. in our bowling league. Last year we
raise $ 115.00. I know it doesn't sound like a lot but it all helps.

No plans for us.
My husband was never one for giving cards, candy or things like that. (He always got something for me the day after! Good thing I am a bargain shopper as well.)
He does not recognize holidays at this point so I don't expect anything, I will make his favorite dinner. His favorite dinner is not mine so I will make myself a great salad. I will splurge with cookies, I plan on making some HUGE chocolate chip cookies. My Grandson has been "itching" to help me make them again.
Will offer to babysit if my daughter and son in law want an evening out.
My Grandsons birthday is soon and they plan a weekend away that may also be a Valentine's Day get away for them so the babysitting I would be doing is for the dog and cats.

Supper at a diner. My husband works late on Tuesday's so I didn't plan. Not this year, he came home before me & wanted to go out - I hate going out on Valentine's day & New Year's - overpriced/overcrowded. I was so annoyed that he was home & I had nothing planned. It was a nice end to the day though & the diner wasn't as crowded as the other places.

Lesley, Welcome to VBB and those cookies look great!

I made Verlee's choc. covered cherries. They were time consuming but
so worth it. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Both hubby
and I loved them. Thanks Verlee for a wonderful recipe.
