Thanks!  That was my first attempt at icing cookies in a long time.  The last time I tried, I ended up with a big gooey, sticky mess.  I used the recipes and techniques on this website...the cookies were perfectly soft and icing had a perfect crunch.  


If you look under her recipe tab, you can find the cookie recipe and the icing recipe along with tutorials on icing consistency.

Lesley,  Welcome to VBB and those cookies look great! I made Verlee's choc. covered cherries. They were time consuming but so worth it. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be.  Both hubby and I loved them. Thanks Verlee for a wonderful recipe.

Carol, I'm happy the cherries worked out. They are time consuming, but the more you make them, the easier it gets! Did I mention they are best if kept refrigerated?

Verlee,  Thanks again for the choc. covered cherries recipe. It's a keeper. Your recipe said
to keep refrigerated so I did!! lol lol I have hid some of them. The longer you let them sit  in the
frig. the better they taste. Hubby really loves them. He said now we don't have to buy choc.
covered cherries for Christmas, you can make them!  lol lol  I really enjoyed making them!

Flowers, flowers, flowers! My husband gave me a bouquet of long stemmed roses and friends just sent me a floral arrangement for my birthday, which is on Monday. A big one!!! Getting older is sometimes really nice, especially when you have thoughtful, loving friends and family.
