In Response to Re: Turkey Stuffed or Not!:
I can see how that would be a good idea. In the past when I have seen turkey on sale I have purchased 2. I take one to the meat department and ask them to cut it in half. They do it on the saw. They then wrap it and I take it home and toss them in the freezer. When I want turkey I can take a half out and it thaws quickly and can be done on the grill easily or once thawed I can cut it up just like a chicken and have several meals planned out. My husband dislikes wings so part of the wing and the back portion are used for soup or pot pie. Legs get tossed into the soup pot or salad. the rest gets cooked with stuffing. I make a pretty large pan of stuffing and cook the breast and thigh on top of the stuffing. Extra stuffing is used to sop up some of the soup or with the pot pie. And I do love a turkey sandwich with a bit of stuffing on it.

I've actually bought a small hand saw just for use in the kitchen, the kind with the removable blade and it has come in handy for spliting chickens and sawing through roasts and ham bones.
