TURKEY AGAIN!

Share your holiday tips

I know we havn't had turkey yet,but I'm starting to look for recipes for leftovers.I usually make turkey cacass soup and tukey pot pies,any different recipes out there ?

Have you tried to make a shepherds pie from the dressing, turkey, potatoes under a flakey crust?

Love the old stand by hot turkey sandwiches with gravy and turkey rice dish is nice.

I like the old turkey sandwiches -- on toast with lots of tomatoes - a slice of bacon if available.
Isn't a turkey sandwich a new and creatie idea?

Cold turkey sandwiches with lettuce and mayo is great. One of my sons makes a sandwich with turkey and mashed potatoes. It's good to put some in packages in the freezer, along with some of the other left overs in containers in the freezer and you can enjoy it again after Thanksgiving is over. Be sure to label and date before it goes in the freezer.

I like to take the leftover gravy, turkey, add peas and carrots and put over waffles! Yum!!

Hi GALE; All of ourThanksgiving turkey is long since gone(used up in all the familiar ways.Hubby & I got a craving for it.He bought a pound of slicd roastt urkey breast @ the deli counter .I served it smothered in turkey gravy over single slices ofbread, ( side by side((openfaced hot turkey sandwiches.A bakedy am & green beans or sweet peas& pearl onions,complete the easily made attractive plate
.Pumpkin puddingcpsw/ realwhippedcream oraple pie/crisp inishitoffina neary holidaymeal.Ifyu wantmore exotic ideas;I have a whole "pile" of recipes for using up leftover turkey slices.Let meknow & I'll try to get some to you..

Hi Ann,sure I would love to see something different.In another forum I said I made turkey roll ups.I use turkey slices from the deli and roll stuffing in to the turkey and heat with gravy until hot.This is a quick week night meal.Thanks Ann.Oh if you have a good recipe for turkey tetrazzini I would sure appreciate it.Thanks again.

That's the best,my dear mom used to use Miracle Whip and I never knew anything else.Once I started working,I tasted someones potato salad and I went crazy.I was like what is on here OMG how wonderful.On that day I turned my back on Miricle Whip forever.Yes it was HELLMAN'S.Sorry Miracle whip.MAYO!rules in my kitchen,but it is a matter of personal taste.

I can't find Hellman's in CA. We use Best Mayo instead. It's close to Hellman's.
My mom always used Miracle Whip and when she needed to use mayo, she
made it from scratch.
