This recipe is one of my favorites: Herbed Veggie Mix-Up l/2 pound fresh green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces 2 medium carrots, julienned l/4 cup butter, cubed l/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms 1 medium onion, sliced 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 1/8 teaspoon white pepper Place beans and carrots in a steamer basket, place on a large sauce pan over 1 inch of water. Bring to a boil; cover and steam for 7 to 10 minutes or until crisp tender. Meanwhile in a large skillet, melt the butter. Add the mushrooms and onion, saute until tender. Stir in the parsley, salt, oregano, pepper, and basil, beans and carrots. Heat through. Yield: 5 servings.
