I just use another liquid. Sometimes one with a flavoring, sometimes just plain water. I don't like the taste of alcohol in my food.

Actually, alchol is burned off with cooking and only the flavor of the grapes is left. If you don't like that taste, broth is a great substitute.

I use broth or if a certain amount of acidity is needed a bit of lemon juice might work.
I don't use wine in cooking so I have always used broth or water.

Often chicken broth can be substituted for wine. This gives more flavor than just using water.

You can subtitute white grape juice for white wine and regular grape juice for red wine.If you do decide to try cooking with wine don't use cooking wine.Only use what you would drink .cooking wines contain a lot of sodium.

Great ideas. I never thought about using a substitute for wine. I usually just pass over a recipe if it uses wine because I never have it in the house. I'll have to start some of them now.

Depending on the recipe, you could sub grape juice or even apple juice. It depends on whether the end flavor should be a bit on the sweet side.

I agree with all of the suggestions, chicken broth, water, various juices. You can also use vegetable broth.

Try lemon juice, cider vinegar o ( Japanese) rrice vinegar in a smaller quantity.;you may want to add a bit of sugar to overcome the tartnesss

The very few recipes calling for wine that I use - I just ignore. I've never had any problem.
If the recipe calls for a LOT of wine, I just forget the recipe.

I believe that broth is used as a substitute. I don't use wine in cooking either.

Some recipes call for wine when you marinate meat because you need the acidity to tenderize the meat. Would the grape juice work the same way? I know that vinegar is used in some of these recipes, but I don't want to use too much vinegar.
