We used to have a parade down a main road.  But interest and support died out - March is cold more often than not.  So people had less interest in participating, or even watching.  I enjoyed it when I was younger.  But I would rather be inside if the weather is not nice these days.

One of our neighboring towns Dublin, CA supports a St. Patrick's Day Parade.  My husband is going to ride his bike in it as part of the volunteer bicycle patrol of the East Bay Regional Park District.  The park district also has volunteer hikers, horseback riders and volunteers with search dogs.  They will also be in the parade.  Everyone wears green

Will be wearing green used to get pinch when in school and did not wear green. Go to Salem for my move on program so not sure what to do for dinner. I like to make corn beef and cabbage but wont be able to do it on St Patrick's Day. Get back too late. Maybe I will go to Golden Corral my son works there and he will be working that night. Come from a long line of Irish folks.

The river in Chicago gets dyed Green...The old joke is if they can dye it green for St. Patrick's Day why can't they dye it blue the rest of the year....
I have a very busy day on Thursday..my Alzheimer's Support Group is meeting, (I may bring some scones as a treat) then I have to go help a lady do some range of motion exercises then I have a babysitting "job" that evening.  Will leave the house around 8:15am and not get home until 7:00pm.   I hope I even remember to wear green that day!!

I don't own too many things in green so I'm not sure what I'll wear on St Patrick's Day.  But I already bought the corned beef and cabbage since my husband loves it.  Will definitely be making that on the 17th!
