Martin Luther King Day and the 19th anniversary of the earthquake that REALLY shook up our home (but I'll take an earthquake over a tornado any day).

Thanks Verlee ......
I know I won't be celebrating any earthquake.    hee hee I lived so many years on VAFB (coast of northern Santa Barbara County) where test missiles were fired. brrrrrrrrr When one of those things started it sounded like the end of time - then it took off and there was massive ground shaking.  Every single one terrified me - I KNEW it was a big quake.

Not sure I'll be celebrating anything this month.  Nancy, I'm sure you can come up with something to celebrate,  maybe the fifth day of sunshine in the month?   Or, how about, another day without snow?  LOL

Those test missiles would scare me out of my mind since I hate loud noises.  I don't even like fireworks unless I'm really far away from them!

CUPCAKES!!!!  I love to bake cupcakes!  The men in my family, Hubby, Son, 3 Grandsons, my Daughter's Significant Other.....all love the ones I bake them!  There is hardly a week that goes by until one of them puts in an order.  I bake all kinds....but surprisingly enough, Vanilla is the most requested one!  The Champagne ones that I baked for Christmas also went over really big!  I'm sure those young men that you look out for would love to have cupcakes, and cookies, and candy, and....etc.  It's great that you do this for them.  I'll bet they really appreciate you!

We have birthdays for my cousin, nephew and brother-in-law this month. We didn't really do much celebrating though.

I really like the Kris Kringle peanut butter cookies and I love brownies baked in the mini cup cake tins then studded with candy pieces.
I think for Valentines Day that's what I'll take to the local police.   They have had so many cookies, I think the little cup cake things might be a new treat.
