Lost White Spice Cake Recipe

I am hoping there is someone out there who can give me the recipe for a specific spice cake. A few years ago, I made a spice cake and the cake itself was an almost blonde/platinum color. The flavor was milder and more subtle than most spice cakes. All the recipes I have seen have heavy cinnamon and I know that won't yeild the cake/color I'm looking for. Does anyone have any idea which cake I'm talking about?

That cake looks to be just what I'm looking for. I can't say I've ever used apple pie spice, but nutmeg and a touch of cinnamom and cloves should do the trick. Think I'll mix in some finely chopped pecans too. This recipe will be great for fall. Thank you for your efforts tracking that one down. Printing now!

This looks like what I'm looking for. I will substitute nutmeg and a touch of cinnamon and cloves for the apple pie spice. I will also add some finely chopped pecans to the mix. The sour cream and almond extract will give me the taste I'm looking for. Thank you for tracking this down, you are awesome! I had searched the net with no luck.
