A dear friend who knows how much I love to bake just sent me this Hostess no-bake dessert

Patriotic Twinkie Pie

Items Needed:

6-7 Hostess® Twinkies®, broken or torn into 1" pieces
1 pint fresh blueberries
1 lb. fresh strawberries, sliced
2 packages (5.1 oz.) instant vanilla pudding mix
6 cups milk
1 container (12 oz.) frozen nondairy whipped topping, thawed

Directions:

Place half the Twinkie pieces in a 6-quart glass trifle bowl or trifle dish. In a separate bowl, combine the pudding mix and milk and stir according to the package instructions. Spoon half of the pudding over the Twinkies. Spread the blueberries over the pudding. Top with the remaining Twinkie pieces. Spoon the remaining pudding over the Twinkies spreading evenly. Spread the sliced strawberries over the pudding. Cover and refrigerate for several hours or overnight, until completely chilled and set. Top with the whipped topping just before serving.

Makes 16 servings.

Note: Frozen blueberries and strawberries may be used instead of fresh.

Thanks for sharing this easy trifle.My son makes one with store bought blueberry muffins and layers fresh blueberries,vanilla pudding and cool whip.Very good and pretty to look at also.He is very active in his church and they have a lot of dinners and he has taken this trifle to church and everyone loved it.

All butter pound cake makes a great trifle too.The sky is the limit with making this nice looking dessert.

This sounds good. I do like Gales idea of the pound cake though.
Difficult decision because I have a Hostess Outlet right down the street from me.
