Elsa - this morning I made two batches of Magic Mint Chocolate Bark.  It's so very fast and easy to make that it's difficult to believe it's SO good.  I think I "sampled" too much ....... I'm going to have to make a third.

And we're having cookies ande cocoa at church Sunday night .... I'm also making those gorgeous chocolate peppermint spoons for that.  I can't wait to see the kids faces when they see those!!

Here is a Cookie Plate Poem

  I made a plate of cookies;
And ate just 1 or 2;
But I started feeling guilty;
Because they were for you;
I went into a panic,
and ordered on the phone
This brand new cookie cutter
So you can make your very own!!
Merry Christmas

I send along with the plate of cookies a cutter especially for new brides.

We always shopped all year long picking up this and that. Yard sales and goodwill's were great places to pick up old ornaments, dishes, platters, baskets and wrappings of both cloth and paper. Unfortunately now that it is just me left I have given up any sort of celebrations. No need for them.

What wonderful stories!  I, too, bake cookies and give them to various people as gifts at Christmas.

Elsa, I got you beat, our oldest grandkid will be 21 in April & we had our 44th anniv. in Nov.
I am the neighbor baking & passing goodies out to the youngsters who do not seem to know how to bake(or cook). It would be great to receive something home made for a change.

Maryann O, can I get on your list?  Do I qualify?  I have three grand children 16, 11, and 8.  I have been married for 40 years so I guess I am old as dirt!  LOL

I love hearing from the Grand ma's and Papa's about what they do or collect with the Grandkids.  It's so heart warming!
