Happy New Year everyone!  We get together as a family, have a simple dinner of homemade soup and artisan bread, then play games until midnight.  At midnight we go outside and make some noise and then pretty soon after that we all go to bed.

Party did someone say party?  Lets have a virtual party for valentines Day.  Everyone make something for the virtual party and see what trouble we can get into...LOL  I'll start by making icing and letting my kitchen aide swirl it all over the kitchen...Wow not that would really be a mess..  Thank Goodness its only virtual...

I'm writing this after the fact.  Just came back to this.  Had knee replacement surgery and then got a toe infection.  Had the other knee done several months ago.  Getting around with a cane.  Husband has MS.  We spent a quiet night at home.  Had a nice dinner and dessert.

Marie -- I'm sure sorry about the toe infection but glad about the knee replacement.  That's a super thing to get .... even if it's not fun.
And I'm glad you made it back to Very Best Baking.

Hope you do much better in 2011 Marie and I will but both you and your hubby in my prayers.  I am considering getting a new knee because it swells so much I can't bend it also it is bone against bone and been that way since the 80's when my insurance refused me.  They said my age, activity level I would wear it out in 3-5 years.  I told them to put the knee where the sun don't shine and I got a new insurance company!
