I've posted this bark recipe before but some of our newer members may not have seen it. I try to make it for gifts. I can't keep my hands off of it!
CRANBERRY NUT CHOCOLATE BARK
1 cup dried cranberries ( I think you could use dried cherries but the bark would be sweeter. I like the tart cranberries.) 3/4 cup toasted diced pecans 2 2/3 cups chopped semisweet or bitter sweet chocolate, melted 2 2/3 cups chopped shite chocolate, melted
Toss cranberries and pecans together. Set aside.
Melt the dark chocolate and spread it into an 8" x 12" oval on parchment paper. (I draw an oval on the underside of the parchment paper so I can see the line through the paper.) Allow the chocolate to set, but not harden completely.
Melt the white chocolate and mix it with about 3/4 cup of cranberries and pecans. Spread this over the dark chocolate. Sprinkle the remainder of the nuts and fruit on top, pressing it down into the chocolate gently.
Allow candy to cool until hardened and break it into chunks.
