My family prefers the traditional white bark with roasted whole almonds. But my favorite is white bark with bits of lemon drops mixed in.

Chocolate & peppermint is a great combination.  Thanks Nancy.  Even if there are not your favorites - nuts - in it.  Laughing

lol lol lol --- Pat, I never met a nut I didn't like.

I'm old and I had never tasted a macadamia in my life ..... I KNEW they weren't good (Like I always knew white chocolate chips weren't good).    Then a dear man at church was talking about my cookies and he mentioned macadamias so I bought some - and fell in love.

Mary Ann -- this site is LOADED with bark (or" wafers") recipes.  I love making that stuff because it's  all so easy, fast and fun.   It would look great on a plate of fudge.
Fudge?  Why don't you start a post about fudge?  Please....... give us your recipe and ask for ours.

Did anybody see the ad for Nestle in last Sunday's coupon section.  They had a recipe for quick bark using the chocolate and mint morsels.  Seems all you have to do is dump the chips on a baking sheet, melt and then add nuts on top before cooling.  Sounds easy enough but with my luck I would probably burn them lol.

H.M. ......... Look right here for Nestles MAGIC MINT CHOCOLATE BARK.    I've made this stuff at least half a dozen times.   This bark is great but I do not like the combination of mints and nuts - so I just leave them out.

I've posted this bark recipe before but some of our newer members may not have seen it.  I try to make it for gifts. I can't keep my hands off of it!

CRANBERRY NUT CHOCOLATE BARK

1 cup dried cranberries ( I think you could use dried cherries but the bark would be sweeter.  I like the tart cranberries.)
3/4 cup toasted diced pecans
2 2/3 cups chopped semisweet or bitter sweet chocolate, melted
2 2/3 cups chopped shite chocolate, melted

Toss cranberries and pecans together.  Set aside.

Melt the dark chocolate and spread it into an 8" x 12" oval on parchment paper.  (I draw an oval on the underside of the parchment paper so I can see the line through the paper.) Allow the chocolate to set, but not harden completely.

Melt the white chocolate and mix it with about 3/4 cup of cranberries and pecans.  Spread this over the dark chocolate.  Sprinkle the remainder of the nuts and fruit on top, pressing it down into the chocolate gently.

Allow candy to cool until hardened and break it into chunks.

Katherine -- Welcome to VBB.  We're glad to have you with us.
Verlee's recipe for lemon drop bark is very easy .............  Just put some lemon drops in a little freezer sip lock bag and crush them - not too much.    Then melt some white chips or bark.  Stir in about half of the crushed drops and spread it out on wax paper.  Then sprinkle the rest of the lemon drops across the top.    Let it cool completely before you remove from the wax paper and break into pieces.
