I doubt that I dye any this year but don't know for certain.
When I boil eggs I put them into a pan with lots of cold water, bring to a boil, immediately cover and let set for 15 minutes.
Then I drain the hot water, add lots of cold water and maybe some ice.
I grab each egg, roll it around to crack the shell, toss it back into cold water.

I'll be making at least a dozen or more dyed eggs.  I usually give one to everybody who comes to Easter dinner.  Any leftover will become egg salad.

Since I have a "stash" of egg color that I keep around always I may use that.  My mom usually uses onion skins to color hers.  She dislikes messing with the dyes.

No no no. My deal is chocolate eggs, rabbits, more eggs, more rabbits  etc.  Got the picture. Glad when the sales start after Easter.

I wait for them to put the chocolate on sale after Easter too!  I buy almost all my chocolate after holidays.  Valentines, Christmas, Easter,
any holiday will do.  It does not bother me to eat Easter candy in July - if I have any left that long.  LOL

Usually, be color eggs at my mom's house.  She has all the grandkids over to do it, but this year she said she wasn't going to do it.  So, I will probably be coloring some at my house.  My mom always made pickled beets and eggs with hers.  I usually add mine to tuna salad or make egg salad.

I don't boil many eggs any more to color.  Just 2 of us and 1 day of egg salad sandwiches is good for me.
Not real fond of hard boiled eggs.  Went to boarding school for last 3 years of  High School and one of the Sunday morning breakfast we were "treated" to was creamed hard boiled eggs.  Once in a while we got that for dinner on Sunday as well. To describe it as disgusting is putting it mildly.

We must all be getting older than kids. But I guess we did things right because our grandkids are coloring eggs with their families. Just miss it sometimes. So if I have to color eggs to feel better I know how and do...

Debbie,
I remember with delight when my granddaughters were little and we colored the eggs. What a mess, but what a lot of fun! Enjoy it while you can.

Hi John,
Do your grandchildren live nearby. Maybe you could share with them this year. Are you feeling better? I have been watching some of your comments and it seems as if there is progress. God Bless you.

Grandkids all come over on Good Friday and they have a ball coloring all of the eggs for Easter.  Some of them are away at college so we have as many here as we usually do.

Our Lionettes Club will be cooking and dying eggs for the community Easter Egg Hunt!  That will be fun, but I think after all those eggs, I will NOT want to see eggs for a few days!!  lol lol

No, will not be coloring eggs this year.  Both my sons are grown and we have too much to do getting everything done for Easter.  They will help me with shopping, cooking and they do the cleanup.

Angela:  This is not in response to this question, but another questions you had posted a while back.  It was about aa Italian recipe which was fried and was filled, etc.  I had posted a recipe for canoli, but then remembered something my grandmother and I used to make and I found a recipe in a cookbook I had purchased at Ellis Island.  I put it in Beginners and Advice section.  I had labeled it:  Angela is this the recipe you were looking for.  I was going to put it in the section where anyone could see it, but then I could not get into VBB for over a month.  Please look there to see if this is the recipe you were looking for.  Thanks.
