I posted this earlier, but it did not show up.

Where are you eating on Easter?  Are you cooking and eating at home, are you eating at someone else's home and bringing something, or are you going out to eat at a restaurant?  We have all of the holiday meals at our house.  My sons will be here, my brothers and my husband and I.  We also bring food to my sister in law who is paraplegic and to her aid (she has a live in 24 hours a day), and to the elderly woman who lives upstairs from her.  Since my husband can't really do much with his MS, my sons help with the shopping, cooking and do the cleaning up.

What are you planning on doing?

I plan to bake a ham at home, if I have time.  My Dad is having a knee replacement this week.  So I have not made many plans past that.  My family got together this past Sunday at my brother's house.  My Dad's birthday is Thursday this week, so he is going to get a new knee for his birthday. Smile

We'll be eating the traditional ham meal at our home, with both of my sons coming, before my youngest Navy son deploys again.

My church celebrates almost all holidays together.  After Sunday morning service the kids will have an enormous egg hunt (all plastic eggs filled with candy or money!!)  While that's going on the women will be preparing the dinner ... ham and roast beef served with all the food brought in.  I'm taking my usual broccoli salad and cookies.  It will be a wonderful, beautiful, delicious, very special meal.
When that's over we'll have the evening service very early and head for home.

Great plans everyone!  I will be serving Easter dinner on Saturday instead of Sunday.  Except for Christmas Eve, all our holidays are celebrated at our house either before or after the actual day.  This saves my Mom and grown children from having to endure two dinners in one day lol.  They are all usually invited to other homes and I want to spare them the overstuffing that I went through when the kids were little.  And it gives me a chance to relax on the actual holiday lol.

Happy Easter to all!!!!!!!!

I will be having Easter Dinner at my daughters house.  Most of my pots and pans have been boxed up and I have saved out only one place setting for us.  She will be doing a ham and she makes this great pineapple casserole type dish that I love oh so much and she has a great recipe for "funeral potatoes" that is very good.  I will make a cake the pie that I wanted to make will have to wait for another time.
This has been a crazy month and the last week will not get any better.  I just can't wait for May.  I have been assured that everything will start getting back to "normal" then.
