In Response to Re: Easter April 24th 2011:
A different way to serve hard cooked or boiled eggs: Golden Rod Toast:,Make a white sauce this can be cut in half or increased if needed.White Sauce: one stick of butter, salt and pepper to taste,4 cups milk,1/2 cup of all purpose flour.in a large sauce pan melt the butter and remove from the heat stir in flour until smooth, return to heat until bubbly, add milk one cup at a time and continue cooking over medium heat stirring constanly, until it boils then lower heat and continue cooking a few more minutes.Remove from heat and stir in 2T.minced onions and parsley if desired.Peel 8-10 hard cooked eggs, chop the whites and add to white sauce, pour over toast and push the yolks through a sieve with a spoon,I use a tablespoon over the toast, the egg yolks look like Golden rod pollen, this is how it got its name. This is an old recipe that my mom made when we were kids.
