Okay gang I will get it to all of you in plenty of time for Easter.  I do have to tell you that when you get ready to dip the eggs you have to use only one hand in the chocolate.  Maybe I should do a video for all of us.  I had another infusion today so I wasted right now.

Wow been making my eggs like that for years, since 7 grade and also used hard cooked eggs not hard boiled. Gee almost 60 yelars yikes lol.
Congrats Marie to you and your hubby. I usually make ham for Easter. Maybe I will try Leg of Lamb this year. Love lamb.

Nancy...

You will not believe what I found!

I found a recipe for Cherry, Pineapple and Coconut Eggs, Fruit & Nut Easter Eggs!

Now the fruit & nut have marachino cherries, chopped pecan and coconut in a creamy filling.  The other is marachino cherries, crushed pineapple, nuts or pecans and coconut.

Don't they sound yummy!

LOL, I agree, Miracle Whip has that little zing to it.

In Response to Re: Easter April 24th 2011:
Mayo?  MAYO?!!!???     I would never, never put ~shudder~    MAYO  in a deviled egg. The correct thing to use is Miracle Whip! I think it's against the law to use mayo in  deviled eggs.

Susan,
Will this work in a candy mold? I have oval 2 bite shaped molds & would chill the mold before putting the buttercream in & then chill again & hope the shapes would slide out when turned over & thumped.

In Response to Re: Easter April 24th 2011:
Nancy... Here is the recipe for the butter cream candy! 3 oz cream cheese 1/2 cup butter 4 cups 10X sugar 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla Mix the above ingredients and chill for 1 hour.  Roll 1 inch balls and chill overnight; then coat with your favorite chocolate.  Chill again. When I make this, I divide into 3 part and add flavoring; see below: 1/2 tsp. Brandy 1/4 tsp. Mint 1/4 tsp. Orange 1/4 tsp. Strawberry Now, if you like it stronger tasting, then just add more flavoring. You get about 3-4 dozen (depending on size)

Easter is fairly late this year.  We usually have ham and scalloped potatoes and several other sides and some desserts.  Remember  the word desserts is stressed spelled backwards.  Must mean that dessert relieves stress - right?

In Response to Re: Easter April 24th 2011 : I always tell people that the correct term is "Hard cooked eggs" NOT "Hard Boiled".  Because you don't boil them.  Like you said bring to a boil and shut off the heat and cover. I have been making eggs like this almost forever, I saw Julia Child do it this way YEARS ago and have done it that way ever since. I do give a little extra time if the eggs are extra large or jumbo. Just 1 to 2 minutes more per size. Best thing...never a green ring around the yolk and the yolks are tender and the whites never get rubbery.

i just wanted to say that after the eggs are in cold water I crack them once and let the water seep in  a while it makes them easy to peel
