Nancy...

How are you doing my dear friend?

I am trying a new recipe for Crab Deviled Eggs for our Easter get-together.  I found it in my Taste of Home cookbook!

I don't have any that take less than 30 minutes.  Sorry.  They all take longer.  Wish I could have helped.

Gale -- I would love to have that recipe - please.
Mary Ann -- ;-) --- your recipe for deviled eggs sounds exactly right, exactly like mine except for the parsley.

Here's the recipe Nancy,  1 doz.hard boiled eggs peeled, 1   15oz. can of sliced beets, 1 good size yellow cooking onion or onion of your choice sliced in rings ,1/4 cup of sugar,1/4 can cider vinegar,3/4 can of water, salt and pepper to taste. Pour beets and juice from the beets in a pot, Fill the empty beet can 3/4 full with water and the rest of the way with apple cider vinegar.add the sliced onions and about 1/4 cup of sugar or more to taste,a good balance of sweet and sour, salt and pepper to taste.Bring to a boil.Place your peeled hard boiled eggs in the container of you choice and pour the beet mixture over the eggs.Let set in refrigerator at least over night, even better in a couple of days. These will keep at least a week in the refrigerater. I don't cook using recipes for the things taught to me by my mom or mom in law.You can make just the beets if you want, and you don't have to add the onions.I also used Splenda in ours trying to save calories.Enjoy,I make these for most holidays.

Thank you Gale -- those sound sooooooo good.

Elsie - I'll be at church for Easter.  For almost every holiday we have morning service then we have a BIG dinner.  Church supplies the meat and bread and everyone brings something.  I'm taking my broccoli salad and many, many cookies.  And I bought a great big Easter basket which I'm filling with commercial candy for the kids.
