Wow!!! More need for candy canes - lol
I just finished an easy new recipe for bark .... so fast, so easy, SO BEAUTIFUL .... and delicious.
CANDY CANE BARK
6 oz chopped chocolate flavor candy coating
3 oz chopped milk chocolate bar
6 oz chopped vanilla flavor candy coating
3 oz chopped white chocolate baking squares
1/4 cup crushed peppermint candy canes
Line a large baking sheet with foil (I used parchment - I drew the10x8 rectangle on the BACK of the paper with pencil)
Melt the two chocolates in small, heavy saucepan (ah phooey - put the chocolates in a cerea bowl ...l use the microwave)
Pour onto the baking sheet and spread into 10 x 8 rectangle. Set aside
In another small heavy saucepan, melt the two white baking squares, stirring over low heat until smooth. ('wave again)
Slowly pour white mixture over chocolate mixture on baking sheet. With a thin spatula, swirl white mixture into chocolate.
Shake baking sheet gently for even thickness.
Sprinkle with crushed candy canes. *** Chill 30 minutes or until firm. Use foil to lift candy from baking sheet; break candy into pieces.
Makes 1 1/4 pounds
*** press the peppermint pieces into the chocolate .... I didn't and very much fell off when I broke it.
