In Response to Re: Christmas almost over, what's for New Years Day and Super Bowl:
Whew ... when my turkey was done I decided I'd better get going while the streets were still clear. I just turned off the oven and took off - First stop the police station where I was royally welcomed and thanked for the cookies and candy Got to church and the parking lot was cleaned! But the long, long step-up sidewalk wasn't ..... and there was no shovel. I started sweeping as hard as I could ... breathing a bit hard too. Then I saw my truck's tire --- almost flat. Oh good grief. I called AAA on my very expensive to use cell .... the church phone was dead. In 5 minutes my tire was totally flat. AAA said they would have somebody there in about an hour. I finished the sidewalk and started the inside cleaning ... (and my vac is in Sears for repair) using the most awful vac. But there was so much over sized stuff and plain garbage I had to pick up by hand first. AAA came and put on my spare. What a mess --- almost as messy as my complaining, huh? Anyhow it took me 4 hours to get home and the church is NOT clean. My turkey is cold and I'm too tired to care. Ohhhhhhh poor me. I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I can laugh about this.

Holidays are exciting, but tiring. It sounds as if yours was more tiring than exciting.
