With St. Patricks Day around the corner, I have another excuse to bake.  Last year I made the Chocolate Studded Shamrock Cookies and they were so good.  They are almost like a tea cake

Chocolate Studded Shamrock Cookies

With St. Patricks Day around the corner, I have another excuse to bake. Last year I made the Chocolate Studded Shamrock Cookies and they were so good. They are almost like a tea cake type of cookie. So, this year I will be making a double batch and making goodie bags for my family and friends. I am also going to try the mint pie. Has anyone made that yet? It really looks good! ;)

Cindy, I made the mint pie minus the mint. My grandson does not like mint flavoring. The pie is good and you could flavor it with almost any flavoring.
I am planning on the pie. The main meal will be lamb stew. I have a leg of lamb in the freezer and I think I will bone out the leg and cut some for a lamb stew then over the weekend I will fire up the grill and do a roast.
Some Irish soda bread to go with the stew.

Have not made the cookies or the pie. Might try the pie without the mint, too. I like mint, but my husband does not. Otherwise sounds good, as do the cookies. Thanks,

I have to try to cookies ..... All of the kids I bake for love mint (and cinnamon) so they will be a hit.

I can't imagine not liking mint in cookies. But there are so many flavorings, it should not be hard to find a good substitute.

Haven't made the mint pie, but I've made a pistachio version. Your cookies sound good. For mint cookies, I like the girl scout thin mints.

Lamb stew sounds delicious! What an awesome dinner. I am going to make the mint pie. Although being able to change the flavor sounds really good!
