I hope someone out there can help me. A number of years ago, Nestle used to have a special morsel mix at holiday times, with colored morsels mixed with the regular ones. On this site, there was a recipe for a snack mix using those morsels. It may have been made with popcorn - I really can't remember. I didn't print the recipe, and I can't find it on the site. I guess they probably pulled the recipe because they no longer sell the morsel mix.

Does anyone have that recipe? I would be so grateful if I could get it again. This time, I would definitely print it!!

This is what I love about this site! Although I am just navigating my way through the new site (I have been away grom it for quite a few weeks and didn't know they changed it until yesterday!), VBB has proved what I have been saying for quite some time. On the old style of site for quite a while, there were many complaining people about VBB and the recipes (mostly the ones sent in by viewers) not being changed. There were also complaints of not getting points regularly. No one was saying anything about contacting VBB (which I suggesting they do) all the comp[laining was being done on the viewers post area where we were suppost to be putting our memories (I forget the exact heasding of it). It was detting quite negative, I was feeling like one of the few defenders. I didn't understand why people kept coming back just to complain or make negative coments about other peoples posts which I also thought were extremely rude. Anyway, VBB you have proven my point by going out of your way to search your database to find this recipe for Rhonda. Thank you, I have never lost faith in you.

Holiday Party Mix
9 cups oven-toasted corn cereal squares
4 cups popped popcorn
1 1/2 cups dry-roasted peanuts
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 2/3 cups (10-ounce package) Nestle Toll House Swirled Holiday Morsels (you can no longer buy these so substitute your favorite flavor of morsel!)
1 package (7.5 ounces) milk chocolate-covered pretzels

PREHEAT oven to 250 degrees F. Grease large roasting pan.
MIX cereal, popped popcorn and peanuts in large bowl. Pour into prepared pan.
COMBINE brown sugar, butter and corn syrup in medium heavy-duty saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, without stirring, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla extract and baking soda. Pour evenly over cereal mixture; stir to coat evenly.
BAKE for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely in pan, stirring frequently to break apart mixture. Stir in morsels and pretzels. Store in airtight container.

ENJOY!

YAAY TEAM NESTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanx for giving us all this recipe I copied & saved this recipe to share w/others in the future.My sister already makes several types of holiday mixes; but none w/ chocolate,yet .Now she can make one my hubby will like even more.

Thank you to the Very Best Baking team. I just got the recipe book in the mail today, and I am so excited! I'm going to surprise my kids (ages 21 and 24) with it this holiday season. They used to love it when I made it, so they will be pleasantly surprised.
