A gal I used to work with made these and brought them for our holiday snacks. I have also used this with walnut halves and whole almonds, they turned out great.
1 1/2 cups Pecan Halves
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup granulated sugar
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Add corn syrup and sugar to butter in a saucepan. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in nuts to coat.
Spread in single layer on foil covered baking sheet. Bake 60 minutes, stirring often. Cool completely before storing.
These make great gifts in glass jars or even the decorated plastic jars from the Dollar Store.
