The 4th is a Wednesday so I'll be at church.  We're having a celebration of the 4th the following Sunday.  Lots of food, flags, fun and talking about how precious God is in this great country.

I have no idea what the plans are.  I have had a taste for brat's so I just might get a package of them and do that.  It depends on what our daughter has plans for.  I have no grill at this point so we may just go to their house and I will bring a salad and a dessert and leave it at that.

My guys will be working but it will be during the day so I'll have plenty of time to get things ready for a nice meal.I'm thinking ribs, potato salad, coleslaw and of course watermelon and some other sweet for dessert.Being on a Wednesday maybe my other son and daughter in law will come over.It is against the law to have fireworks here but there is a fireman on one of the other streets that has a pig roast which is open to anyone in our neighborhood. He uses the money from that to buy fireworks and he does a show down at one of the fields over here and we all go down to watch it.Nothing spectacular but nice.I love the community that I live in everyone looks out for everyone else.

I've had a busy 2 weeks and haven't really given much thought about the 4th, unfortunately. Plus I'll be gone all next week. The 4th will just be hubby and me, so I'll probably throw something on the grill, and fly the flag. I'm not aware of our little town having any special activities Since it's the middle of the week it appears it's difficult to make plans.

Hopefully our kids will visit from out of state and we'll eat out, cookout, and go out on our pontoon boat.

Too early for plans, I hope I will know by Sun. July 1(grandtwins birthday is Monday & we would celebrate their birthday on the 4th at their uncle's block party, but now they are working & dating so I am sure they will be out celebrating with their friends) & the local fireworks were this past Sat. so it might just be the 2 of us.

No plans at the moment.  I'm worn out from having out-of-town company twice in the past three weeks!  Also, I have a Doctor's appointment on the 5th, and I need to be calm and collected when I get there.  I think I'll just vegetate and watch T.V.

Our family will have a cook out but no fireworks it is too dry.
We have had a lot of fires from the wheat combines already.
As long a the family is together we will have a good time with
games and visiting. We will also fly the flag.

No plans as of now.  My hubby will be working as usual so it will probably be Wednesday as usual for me!

Our town always has a parade, and everyone has to attend!!  They have all the scout troops, Little League teams, 4-H ers, high school bands, and even the Marines send a band to accompany all the veterans riding in convertibles.  It is really a local event, and always fun.  One homeowners group has a lawnmower drill team!

Afterwards we go over to my son and daughter-in -laws for a pot luck party.  I always bring dessert (cookies, homemade ice cream, etc.)  My son puts up a net across the swimming pool, and there are very spirited volleyball games.  There is also a cocktail competition and later a few safe and sane fireworks,(sparklers) for the kids.  The kids do their sparklers around the pool, so water is close by and no chance for anything catching fire.  Always a fun day!!

Parade and fireworks were yesterday in our town.
I doubt that we will do anything special.
I may make some burgers for my husband.  I also may make the bean recipe that I think Gale gave a while ago I just have to find it. (I think I printed it out...)

my d.i.l. had a tooth pulled last week and now has a dry socket------------so no fireworks-------------they do have a brisket thawing and i'll probably fix some scalloped potatoes and baked beans----------i know that my son is coming over here for a while to remove some the old landscape timbers from around my rose bushes and a magnolia to the burn pile---they are now established enough to stand alone------------or i'll get some river rock later
