As retired folks
, w/no family nearby we have no cookie exchange; BUT I still like  baking:
 "clasic" FUDGE BROWNIES  &
WHITE CHIP MACADAMIA NUT COOKIES; The firstT from nearly "SCRATCH" & the  2nd  NESTE'S R.T.B. ULTIMATE COOKIES; both LOVED BY EVERYONE &  easy for me to make; never any leftovers; but hubby is always willing to help out there

Well, count me in..... you all know how I feel about cookies BUT 99% of the cookies I make have their recipes right here.  Who would want me to list them again?

It sounds like a great idea.  I hope to see new (easy!) recipes.  I doubt I have too many that are new to this group.

Wow, I finally am able to post again.  Haven't been able to post to this site in over a week.  Had to access the site through a different browser to be able to post!!

Anyway, I love this idea of a cookie exchange.  I, too, will post my recipes once I get them pulled out.  Most probably will be date pinwheels and/or raising filled cookies, our family favorites.  Just not sure yet!

I love this idea as I am always looking for something new. The females in my family do an ornament and cookie exchange every year and it is nice to have something different to share. Here is a dairy free recipe for you.

Tahini Cookies

6 Tbsp Tahini
1/2 cup honey
1 Tsp. vanilla
3/4 Tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)
1/4 cup craisins (or raisins)

Directions
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets. (I use parchment paper instead)

2. In a medium bowl, stir together Tahini, honey, vanilla and cinnamon. Mix in pecans, oats and craisins until well blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 2 inches apart.

3. Bake for 10 minutes in preheated oven, or until edges are golden brown and tops are slightly brown. Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.

We do a cookie exchange at work every year.  Usually we get the "normal" kinds of cookies, but now and then someone will come up with something creative.  I'll hunt for my drop date filled cookies.  My aunt made them all the time.  You get the goodness of a filled cookie with the ease of a drop cookie.

Embarassed  I'm sorry - I don't know what Tahini is and can't find a definition anywhere.
Would someone tell me tell me what sort of dairy sub it is and where do you get it?.
And,  thanks for a new recipe Mary K - welcome to VBB,

Nancy,  Tahini is made from sesame seeds. It is usually  a paste. It is used
to make hummus.
