Temps dropped drastically - 70 degree drop since early yesterday, freezing rain right now and 16F, snow and below 0 temps expected by this afternoon.
According to the traffic report, commuters are stopping along the highway to scrape winshields because defrosters can't keep up - I guess I'll plan on long trips for my appointments today.

The freezing rain with thunder (!!) has started here .... On TV they are saying it's probably going to be the worst storm we've ever had.

Maxine - It is 1 degree here and the wind chill is 20 degrees BELOW 0! High tomorrow is like 12 degrees. I am glad I purchased a heated mattress pad so I stay warm an knock the heat down during the night.

I can't wait until SPRING!

It was too darn COLD here in Brookville,PA. I actually live 2.2 miles from Knowdale,PA. It was -5* here in the valley. I almost froze my fingers off scrapping frost off of my window shield at 6:30AM. I had to go over to Reynoldsville,PA to watch my eldest sons two daughters ages 5yrs & 9&1/2mo old. My youngest son also has two daughters ages 8yrs & 4yrs old. He is in a middle of a divorce, because his ex was cheating on him. He lives in Summerville,PA. My middle son is not married & has no children that I know of LOL. He acutely does live in Brookville,PA. Sorry if some of the stuff was kind of personal, but I felt like venting now I feel better. LOL

Thr. 7:00 P M news said our temp was -5 F( I did not hear the windchill) we have been below freezing for over 40 days, but the last few days have been awful. Today (Fri.) we had a nice warm up, it got up to 22 degrees F.

A heated mattress pad sounds good right now. I my self was thinking of purchasing one or a electric blanket. I haven't made up my mind yet. Probably which ever is cheaper.LOL

It's 41 here right now and supposed to climb in the high 50s - maybe hit 60!
It's very hard to know that winter is not over, this is not spring -- this is the usual January thaw a couple weeks late.

My weather is in the 40's no snow but everytime I plan a outing I don't get to go as the weather is always bad that day our winter weather just doesn't like me. I am staying home most of this winter. Maybe it will let me go somewhere next year.
