In Response to Re: Pita Bread Pizza:
Great option. For an even healthier one look for the whole wheat pita. A flour tortilla will do the same thing and you can find some lower calorie ones and some low carb tortillas as well. They are a bit thinner than the pita so watch that they don't burn on you. I love pita with a garbanzo bean filling. Mash a can of drained garbanzo beans, add some lemon juice, diced cucumber, diced onion, season to taste. If you want it creamier use a processor.

Hi Niki,we do some times use the whole wheat pitas,The garbanzo beans,I make hummus and also eat that on pita bread. The low carb tortillas I make Quesadillas. You can do so much with these pitas and tortillas.I make pb&j sugar free jelly on the low carb wraps. Thanks for the garbanzo bean filling will try that some time soon.I love hummus I'm so addicted to sesame seeds.I don't know how wide spread this company is,but it is called Aladdins
Bakery it is open to the public and you can watch them make the pita bread. They charge about a third of what the stores sell them for,so I always buy about a dozen packages and freeze them. Some times I even just use lettuce leaves and wrap bacon and tomatoe slices and mayo a BLT without bread. Thanks nice talking with you.
