Verlee, thank you for the info. I plant all my tomatoes in 5 ga. containersbecause our dirt isn't very good and the tomatoes really grow good withMiracle Gro for flowers and veg. with 3 month cont. feed. I have 27tomato plants this year and just found 2 plants that came up from lastyear so I will put them in pots and have a total of 29. Looks like I willhave a lot of tomatoes this year. I think I will start out with a little smaller container of dill and see how that turns out. Thanks again foryour help.
I planted dill about 20 yrs. ago & it has kept itself going each year. I saw some yesterday about 2 in . high in 3 spots. I usually get enough to dry to keep me going till the next season. We like it in tomato soup, tomato juice, sometimes in scrambled eggs, on grilled cheese, deviled eggs, potato salad, mac. salad, & I have put it in tuna salad.
H.M., I would like to grow the dill on the hillside behind our house. Ilike the idea of never really getting rid of it. lol I have a lady from myTOPS group that will call me and ask for some rosemary so she canmake rosemary chicken. I cut a big branch off for her and take it toTOPS. lol My rosemary is too big to get into a car. lol lol
