I make my bread the really old fashioned way  by hand . Most people now a days use bread machine ,which is something I haven't the luxury of having  ; but I believe in learning by doing hand

I've baked bread by hand for many many years.  Some years ago I got a bread machne and used it several times.  It is sitting in my closet downstairs and I've gone back to baking by hand.  As stated, it smellls so good in the house when the bread is baking in the oven.

I put pans of water on the bottom of the oven to let the dough rise.  It does well this way.

Last Sunday I made a loaf of beer bread.  This was not a yeast bread.  I need to dig out my recipe for Anadama Bread and make that again soon.
