I just saw a sign at Dollar Tree that they are now accepting manufacturer's coupons.  They don't carry a lot of name brand items but it's worth a shot when they do.  Actually had coupons on a display for Dove candy bars, 50 cents off on two.

Just keep an eye on the expiration dates or Best by dates.  I have come across many items that have a short shelf life.  I am not a stickler for dates but I do want to make sure they will last a while once I get them home.

There is a great bargain lurking in most grocery stores ROASED CHICKEN most major grocery stores carry them and charge around $4.99 we have a store here that charges $4.49 you pay almost that much for an uncooked hen. They are ready to use in any recipe then you have the carcass that you can make a nice little pot of soup or broth to be used later. If you haven't tried one check it out it's a great value.

I found some bargains yesterday at my Schnuck's store.  Chocolate chips were $2 and I had a coupon doubled so I got 2 packeges of dark chips for $1.50 each.  Also Not Butter was on sale for $2.50 and if you bought 2 you got a free dozen eggs.  I had a coupon that made each of them only $2.  Dole pineapple, 20 oz can was $1 and with my doubled coupon I paid 50¢ for each can.

Bargains  seem to  be few and far  between.  I try to combine sale on products I use with manufacturers coupons whenever I can.  Even doing that the final price usually comes to be what the product used to cost.
