Nancy ,I have a Farberware open hearth grill for inside the house.It also has a rotisserie.I couldn't tell you where to buy one because I have bought four of them all second hand for around ten dollars a piece,one for me the two boys and my brother I know they sold for around a hundred dollars.I also have had some ceramic grills for indoors.For yourself that is all you would need.This are fairly inexpensive.

I was never crazy about fried foods anyway. But as I got older the grease got even harder for my system to handle. So I mainly bake chicken now.

I bake my chicken coat it with egg and onion rings I put foil in the pan spray it with oil turn the chicken half way It is very good,

GRANA here;
For a more flavorful lower fat chicken:
peel off & discard skin
Soak ( naturally ower fat ) white mearchicken pieces overnight in a seasoned" buttermilk" solution:
add 1 TBS. vinegar tand 1/2 to 1 tsp Tobasco(HOT) sauce to taste to 1 cup of evaporated milk , stir & let rest till it thickens like buttermilk( 5 minutes or so) Refrigerate vernight, at least 4 hours)
Coat all sides w/ breacrumbs( seasoned to taste ) or not.
Bake on a foil lined sheet@400' for10-20 minutes, till thoroughly cooked) depeding on the thicknss & temperature of your uncooked chicken pieces.
Serve hot w/ a salad or cole slaw for a lower fat crunchy meal
serve fresh fruit & cokies for dessert,of course!

I don't fry anything. I bake everything. It is healthier. Sometimes I will BBQ some things when the weather is conducive to doing so.

My "fried" chicken is done in a skillet on top of the stove. The skillet is lightly brushed with olive oil, so I guess it isn't really frying. Of course the chicken isn't really crispy, but I shake it in a flavorful mix and I think it is just as good as fried.

I like doing chicken in a mixture of breadcrumbs and cheese. A Parmesan or Romano are good. Both a bit hard so they don't melt and get gooey, although there is nothing wrong with gooey cheese, I love it. the breadcrumbs and cheese make a nice crunchy coating. I bake the chicken and the coating gets crispy crunchy so it tastes and sounds like it has been fried.
I do take the skin off the chicken when I do this. I love crispy chicken skin but there is so much fat that I just have to remove it.
I think the only time I do leave the skin on is when I do chicken with lemon, oregano, rosemary. I even slice up a lemon and bake that with the chicken. Toss in a few sliced potatoes and bake them with the chicken. A simple salad and you have a great easy meal.

In this thread, 2/13/2011, I said I wish I had a BBQ grill......... That summer I bought one! I don't use it in the winter cold but it's ready to go again now. I'm not comfortable with it yet but I'm trying. And I know I fry too much

Check out the new "Kraft Fresh Take Cheese & Breadcrumb Mix". No fuss....delicious!! Just coat and bake. Love it!! They have different flavors (the cheeses and spices are different) and those I have tried are delicious!

Baking and broiling are both great choices. You can slso saute food in chicken broth.

I very rarely fry anything. I like to grill outside, but have found that sometimes using the oven to bake or broil is necessary. I love oven roasted lamb and roast beef, but the grill usually is wonderful and most of the fats are gone and the meat can still remain juicy.
