In Response to Re: ANOTHER PRICE HIKE ON THE WAY???????????????????:
Nikki, I knew Aldi's originated in Germany but did not know about the connection to Trader Joes. I love shopping at Aldi's. Soups like Cr of Mushroom, Cr. of Chicken are .48 cents a can & taste like Campbells. There cheeses are cheaper, block, shredded etc. They now have fresh Mozarella, Havarti, Gouda, Ricotta, fresh Asiago, Parmesean/Romano at half the price of other stores. Walmarts 32 oz chicken broth has gone from $1.00 to $1.78 but Aldi's price up from .99 to $1.19. They, also, have fresh salsas exactly as other stores but @ 1.99 each. I could write a book of why I go there!! You are right about the veggies and sales at other stores. You have to watch. They have refunded my money and replaced the product. I had a shredded cheese that molded and it was new and they replaced it. I know my prices and keep up with weekly sales too. I am not sure where Aldi stores are. My friends in Florida would love to have one to shop.

Another interesting thing about Aldi's is the prices are marked on the product. It is coded onto the top of the can or the box and it is an understandable code. For example a box cake mix I have is (M100 88CT) then there is a use by date A box of vanilla wafers has the code (M101.19CT) I paid $1.19 for the vanilla wafers and 88 cents for the cake mix.
Now as long as I have the vanilla wafers out I think I am going to make the Vanilla Tea Cake. I have the coconut and the pecans. And I picked up some sour cream on a close out...
My friend in Maine would love to have an Aldi's there as well.
