Yesterday I made my favorite recipe chocolate chip cookies (recipe on the back of each Nestles semi-sweet morsel pkg.) ... and I made a second batch using white morsels, MILK chocolate morsels and MACADAMIA nuts.
It produced a totally different and absolutely wonderful cookie.

Have you thought about combining the three; the milk chocolate and white chocolate chips with the macadamia nuts into one cookie?  They are DELICIOUS!

Hi Kathy ~ Smile  Isn't it good that I bake better than I talk?  My new cookies DID contain the white and milk chocolate chips and the macadamia nuts --- all three in one cookie.   Very good combination.

I love nuts in the cookies too, but the rest of the family doesn't...so I sacrifice and keep them out of the recipe. Probably a good thing, otherwise I might just eat the whole batch myself!!!

Verlee - I frequently make cookies for a dear family in my church .... none of them eat nuts.
It's a difficult task for me ... I'm just so used to dumping in nuts.

It's great to try different combinations of morsels, nuts and fruits in cooky recipes.  You may develop a new favorite cooky.

This sounds like a great idea. I will be trying this next time I make cookies, DH will be surprised!

Some one gave us a big can of unshelled peanuts over the holiday so this week I plan on shelling all of them and making something out of them.  I noticed that the squirrels were getting fat eating all the peanuts hubby has left for them!

Sound great, Nancy.

I don't put nuts in my cookies.  One of my sons is very allergic to nuts, therefore I bake without them.  Even though he does not live in this house, if he ever came here and happened to eat a cookie, it would be a disaster.

Marie - our church just had a big celebration (for the son of the family I said didn't like nuts).  I made batch after batch of my favorite cookies but used no nuts at all. (except in one recipe that just requires pecans)  They were accepted with gratitude and no one said anything about missing nuts.  ....   I did!!

I don't use nuts when I bake cookies either.  I prefer them alone.  Besides they might distract from the chocolate!  LOL

How about mixing those white chips with the new DARK Chocolate?   I'm just jealous that they haven't come to us in California yet!!

Verlee, you can do what I did when my husband thought he was allergic to walnuts.  I love nuts in my cookies and muffins.  When I made cookies, I'd put half the dough onto the sheets plain, then add the nuts to the rest of the dough so I could have nuts in mine.  fortunately a couple years later when he was tested again he did not test positive for walnuts.  I did use pecans sometimes and get no complaints.

Verlee, you can put the nutless dough on the cookie sheets first and then put nuts in the remaining dough for you.  I did that when my husband had allergy testing and had a slight reaction to walnut stuff.  Fortunately when he was tested again a couple years later there was no reaction.  I can now put nuts in with no problem.

Sorry about the double post on nuts.  I thought the first one didn't go as I didn't see it.  Now I see 2.  Oops.
