Here Come Da Fudge!! Here Come Da Fudge !! WHITE CHOCOLATE REESES PEANUT BUTTER CUP FUDGE BITES INGREDIENTS: 22 REESE'S Peanut Butter Cups... 3 cups of white chocolate chips 1-14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk Directions: Line a 9x9 casserole dish with foil. Lightly spray it with cooking spray. Arrange your Peanut Butter Cups on the bottom (16 total) In a large sauce pan add your white chocolate chips & sweetened condensed milk and heat over medium low heat until all of the chocolate has melted. Once everything is well combined immediately pour the chocolate/milk mixture over your peanut butter cups. Chop the remaining 6 peanut butter cups into smaller pieces and spread evenly over the top of the mixture and press down slightly. Let cool on the counter for a while and then cover with plastic and put in the fridge to cool completely. We've actually just stored our fudge in the fridge to keep it longer since it made so much! Once it's cooled in the fridge for a couple of hours you can cut into bite sized pieces, or huge chunks... it's up to you (Found recipe online)

Wow - Nellie --- this sounds and looks like me  (I make several batches each week of Nestlé's White Chocolate Macadamia Fudge and it's my most popular treat) I have to try it NOW.
I hope you'll tell me soon what size of Reeses Peanut Butter cups are used ....... there are 5 different sizes

I haven't made this   and it doesn't say
except in  a  9X9 pan you  arrange 16 pieces        the original ones would probably be too big  they would have to be about 2 " diameter to fit In that size pan
also  I think you could use whatever size you have   and just adjust the number according to how they fit
in the picture    they don't appear to cover the whole bottom

Well ......... I did it.  It's finished, all cut. wrapped and in the 'fridge.  I made 4 small packages.
IT'S DELIGHTFUL!!!!
I first tasted it when it was still warm and I was disappointed - completely not impressed.
I stuck it in the fridge and cut it after it got nice and solid.......... Then I tasted it again.   It's very good.
All I had in the house was the chocolate Reeses.  I can't wait to try this with white Reeses.
Thanks again, Nellie.

I'm so fortunate to have so many goodies on hand and all the new recipes to try.

I forgot to say ........... the recipe calls for 22 Reese's cups:  16 on the bottom and 6 chopped on the top.
When I put the 16 cups on the bottom it didn't look like enough so I used 25 - 5x5 instead of 4xx4, and the rest of the bag chopped for the top - lots more than 6.    I think it's better tasting and better looking.
But I really can't wait to try it with the white chocolate cups.

what size reese's         did you end up using?  since they were in a bag  they were not the larger ones
they do make so many different sizes  don't they?
that would affect the numbers

One more thing then I promise to keep quiet    Tongue out
When I have to cut any of the fudges I make - the white macadamia fudge, the peanut butter chocolate and now this one; I do the cutting as soon as possible - as soon as the fudge is solid enough to hold the cut.    It's very, very difficult to cut it after it's completely solid.
And I use a pizza cutter instead of a knife.

This is a must try!  All three of the ingredients are favorites of mine!!  Thanks for recipe, Nellie, and thanks for all of the tips from Nancy G.  I may even be able to make this without a failure.  I haven't had too much success in the past when doing fudge.

This does sound like it may be quite sweet, but I think I'll have to give it a try too. I love white chocolate and pb cups. Thanks for the recipe and all the comments.

Here I am again --- after I promised to keep quiet.
Nellie -- I used the small miniature peanut butter cups ....... I have several bags of those (great to put inside a peanut butter cookie) so they were handy.

After much thought --- Nestle's Vanilla Macadamia Nut Fudge is a great deal more work,  very much more expensive but it is the best.
Macadamia nuts price -always too high - has skyrocketed.   The taste of the peanut butter cups in the fast and easy fudge was really good. So I'm going to make another batch of the Nestlé's recipe, skip the macadamias and use peanut butter cups.

Oh and one more thing (after I promised Embarassed) .  The recipe says to heat/melt the white chips and sweetened condensed milk in a sauce pan on top of the stove.  That's what I did but next time I will certainly use the microwave.   I'll heat the milk a bit, stir in the chips and stir it well.  If all the chips don't melt I'll use the 'wave at 70% for a few more seconds.

I was just trying to sort through some of the too-many recipes taped to the back of my cabinet doors.   Digging  through the candy door I found:   (sound familiar?)
CHRISTMAS FUDGE
2 bags white-chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup chopped dried apricots
1/2 cup dried cranberries (I used cherries)
Same directions as Nellie's recipe above.
I now remember making this and how popular it was.
Once I made it with a mixture of all different sorts of dried fruits.
It was very pretty and very good.

Your Christmas Fudge is very much like the one I make but I also add crystallized ginger and pistachios.  It is a beautiful fudge with the red, green, orange it looks like stained glass. And I find that it is not overly sweet because of all the fruit and nuts there is just enough fudge to hold the stuff together.
