Two great chocolate pies

This afternoon I was cleaning out my recipe files .......
I found two different, both really good (and easy!) chocolate pies.
I remember the hits they made when served.

CHOCOLATE FREEZER PIE
8 oz Chocolate Almond bar
1 tsp Instant Coffee
1 Tblsp warm milk
13 oz Cool Whip - thawed
Graham Cracker Pie Crust
Melt the first three items, stir, fold in Cool Whip.
Pour into crust and freeze
..........................................................................

HOT FUDGE PIE
2 Squares Unsweetened Chocolate
1 Stick Butter or Margarine
2 Eggs
4 Tblsp Self Rising Flour
Pinch salt
1 Cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
Melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring. Cool slightly.
Stir in eggs, sugar, flour, salt and vanilla
Beat until smooth. Pour into a buttered glass pie plate.
Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
Serve warm with whipped cream.

Ohhhh, Nancy that Hot Fudge Pie sounds out of this world!!! And the best thing it looks like there is NO pastry crust to contend with...think of all the calories we are saving by not having to eat a pastry crust!!

Hi Nancy thank you for the pie recipes.My guys love chocolate in any shape or form.The chocolate freezer pie looks good to me I love anything with coffee.

Thanks for posting, hubby drinks coffee, but not instant, I drink tea but now & then I will have a cup of the flavored coffee, do you think I could use them instead(eg french vanilla) or just leave out the coffee?

Fran - if the french vanilla is instant you sure can use that. If it's regular coffee it can't be used -
I 'think' just leaving it out would be ok

Try adding some of the ground coffee to the milk. Heat it up and let it "steep" for awhile then strain it. You will have the coffee flavor infused in the milk.
