In Response to Re: Tunnel of Fudge Cake lovers rejoice : Nikki, if a recipe calles for cookie dough, I just make my own for the base. Making my own, I know exactly what is in it and know there's no "hidden" trans fat.

I do that as well.  Not only the issue of hydrogenated fats but home made cookie dough tastes so much better.
I did make the no bake cheesecake that called for a crumb crust. I made the crumb crust from shortbread cookies.  (It was more of a mixture of cookie crumbs.)  I have a container I keep in the freezer when I have broken cookies I grind them up and pour into the container.  That way I always have cookie crumbs for crusts on hand.
The cheesecake was alright but I would probably not make it again with out a bit of "tweaking".

ok nikki
i baked up the mix yesterday  and made it exactly by the directions
i poured the batter into my dark bundt pan and spooned the filling around the middle as told not touching the sides
i set my oven at 325 because of the dark pan, set the timer for 20 mins and turned the pan then cooked another 20 mins (dir say 39-43 mins)   i let the cake cool in the pan for 45 mins before i turned it out
i used pillsbury chocolate fudge frosting to drizzle a glaze as suggested

i was disappointed not to find any kind of fudgy center   the cake was moist and had a good chocolate flavor but still like any fudge choc cake mix w/ a good choc frosting

i will not buy it again

Thanks Nellie I think you just saved me close to $4.00.  No way I would buy the Red Velvet and I have a great recipe for an Apple Bundt cake so I would not buy that one.

I wonder what happened to the tunnel of fudge?  I know it is there in the scratch recipe.

I made the Pillsbury Fudge Truffle from the Supreme Collection.  I bought it in Maypearl Texas and it cost about $3.69.  Well, I made it yesterday and the only complaint I have is about the Truffle.  I added the 2 Tbsp of oil & water and mixed in the filling mix.   The consistency was extremely thick and grainy.  After it completed cooking and cooling, we each had a piece.  The truffle part looked just like the cake.  It didn't have the consistency of pudding or anything creamy.  I'm going to call the customer service phone number in the morning to see what they say.  If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.......
