I'm so stuck on my vanilla-macadamia nut fudge .......... but this does sound great.  And it sounds easy.    That vanilla stuff is a big pain.
Thanks Nellie

welcome , nancy
you could probably do something to the vanilla-macadamia using this recipe
I don't have the strawberry frosting or the white chips
but my thinking is anything at all could be used in this recipe, as long as you use 12 ozs of chips  and 1 can of frosting
true simplicity  and oh so easy
my d.i.l. loves strawberry anything so this will be made like this as soon as I get to the store

Hi Nellie ........... that vanilla macadamia fudge is too good for me to try any changes.     But I'm sure eager to try a new one.  I have loads of white chips and white fake chocolate but no frosting of any kind.  Today is going to be a long difficult one but I'll buy some frosting on the way home.
hmmmmmmmm -- I have a couple bags of dried strawberries.  Think I could chop those small and add them?

Well .......... I just got home from a very long, hard day - lol.   I'm  SITTING and having a nice cold Diet Pepsi ............ then I'll go to work washing the giant plastic containers that I used to make broccoli salad for 150 people.
Then I'm making strawberry fudge!!

The strawberry fudge is finished and I've had a couple pieces.......... the rest is wrapped in foil in the 'fridge.  In the morning I'll take small packages  to hand out at church.
I discovered that I had pkgs and pkgs of dried cherries, blueberries, apricots, cranberries ------ everything except strawberries.
And it's my  humble opinion (for what that's worth - lol) - that this fudge needs something.  It's very beautiful, very smooth, but an almost too "weak" strawberry flavor.

It sure would be great on a dish of other candies.
Nellie -- thanks for posting a new recipe.   Got anymore?

I only found the strawberry frosting last Thursday  but couldn't find white choc chips        and my d.i.l is on a diet this week------------maybe mother's day
I did make the recipe w/ a cream cheese (white) frosting & semi-sweet chips           easy & simple  but a touch sweet for me

nancy, maybe you could add strawberry flavor w/ a pack of Kool-Aid or jello or part of one
but definitely w/ strawberry extract

Thanks for sharing the recipe Nellie.  I'll have to look for strawberry frosting next time I shop, don't think I've every seen it.  It's such a pretty color.

H.M. --- my local Walmart had two different brands of strawberry frosting.
Sometime ago I found a recipe I wanted to try that called for cherry frosting........ I've never found that.

It looks really pretty, but I don't care for canned frosting. Perhaps one could make it using regular home made frosting.

I still have some marshmallow fluff left      I may try that  instead of the frosting    and just see what happens          that's the fudge I really like      but  it's a hassle for me to stand and stir that long
