In Response to Re: SNICKERS BAR COOKIES : I don't know why I did not post this suggestion earlier for you but... Can you mix the cocoa powder with either granulated sugar or powdered sugar then roll the cookie in the sugar?  That will put a bit less cocoa on the cookie and make the coating more even, sort of like rolling a cookie in cinnamon sugar. If you want a coarser sugar get a bag of the product called Sugar in The Raw the sugar is a bit darker than a white sugar but it is coarser than white sugar.

Just present me with a "problem" and I usually come up with a solution.  Sometimes I am stumped but after thinking on it a while I come up with something.
Somehow others "problems" are sometimes easier to deal with than my own. I don't think I am alone in that though.

Thanks for sharing the recipe Nancy.  These sound great and snickers are my husband's favorite.

Nancy, I love the way you posted the snickers cookie recipe.  Just the basic instructions.  I always wonder if people really really know how to bake if the recipe says, "in a medium bowl......

LOL LOL --- Judy, all of my recipes have that  "mix stuff, bake 350" instructions.  And now I can leave out the "greased" bit because I use parchment paper with everything.    I do try  to put more proper instructions on things I put in public ........

Oh, one thing I do have on every cookie recipe ...... where it says 10-12 minutes, I have something such as 7-4.  That means I first bake the cookies for 7 minutes, then turn the sheet and bake 4 more minutes.  I do that with every sxheet I put in the oven.

You can stick just about anything into these cookies -- not just a Snickers bar.
They are especially good with a little peanut butter cup piece of candy.  I've tried
a bunch of different candies,

In Response to SNICKERS BAR COOKIES:
Yesterday I baked a batch of these ......... I've posted the recipe before but they are so good I decided to do it again.   Before baking I sprinkled these with those tiny chocolate Decors. SNICKERS BAR COOKIES 350* - ungreased - 12-14 minutes - 4 Doz. cookies 3/4 cup white sugar 3/4 brown sugar 2 stick butter softened 2 beaten eggs 1 cup peanut butter 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 3 cups flour * 14 oz bag of mini Snickers Candy bars (use Milky Way, Butterfinger - anything you like) Instructions say to cut candy bars in half. I don't, I use whole Mix everything as usual. I divide the dough into 48 balls t hen roll dough around a candy bar. Make certain the dough "seals" in the candy bar and forms a little ball. I sprinkle each ball with a tiny amount of cocoa, confectioners sugar, finely chopped peanuts, whatever I want. Bake at 350* on ungreased sheet 12-14 minutes or until a light golden brown.

Sharon, I buy lots of bags of the candies I think I might need.  I sit in front of TV when it has something I want to watch and start unwrapping.   I put the unwrapped things in a good freezer zip lock bag and they're ready to go when I need them.
Isn't it funny that I love candy so much but rarely eat one of these bars .... I KNOW they belong in cookies.
