In Response to Re: The Perfect Pie for Valentines Day.:
Off topic here but, for me, BIG NEWS!! Today I went to the 'fancy' grocery store in the neighboring town and, as usual, prowled through their cook ware and dishes section. Oh, wow - how I love that place. And I took a deep breath and bought a 9" spring form pan. Oh my goodness!! What a big step for me. I thought I already had one maybe 35 years old but haven't been able to find it. And this store had Wilton loaf pans -- 5", 8 " and 9". The 8" is the one I haven't been able to find anywhere except King Arthur Flour and they cost a fortune plus shipping. Now please excuse me for butting in ..... lol .... the main reason I bought that $18.99 spring form fan was because I was thinking about Nikki'sTruffle Pie. I thought it required a springform!!

You can do it in a Spring Form pan if you wish. But there is no need the Truffle Pie can be done in a regular pie shell.
So if you don't think you will use it return the pan. If you will make a tart or cheesecake then by all means keep it.
