I get the Taste of Home Cookbooks and I saw the recipe!  They are cute...I believe it was in the Christmas issue.

Since VBB sent a coupon for a free bar of cookie dough, maybe I'll use that to make them.  I don't buy cookie dough, but I'll take free anytime.

Judy Frown I didn't get that coupon.   Who else did?
This happened with the free chips coupons several months ago.

Nancy, The free cookie dough was in the "goody bag" that VBB sent us a few months ago, for being patient with the changes in the site.

These are cute! I think I will make some for our annual Halloween chili party. This will be our 17th year! I'll tell the boys they are rats and I'm making spider cupcakes and I also found a recipe for eye ball cookies! I think those were in aTOH magazine,I'll have to go through and look for that one.As always requested homemade pepperoni bread served wth pizza sauce on the side.I love our street parties I feel so blessed to have all the neighbors that I have,we are all good friends and some are like family.

Nancy--I saw them!
For people who NEVER saw them:
Here you go :LaughingSmile

Chocolate Chip Cookie Mice

NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE
Prep:
60 mins
Cooking:
10 mins
Cooling:
0 min
Yields:
12 mice
Chocolate Chip Cookie Mice

Ingredients

Directions

PREPARE 18 cookies according to package directions. Cool completely. Cut cookies in half for a total of 36 halves.

FROST 3 cookie halves together for the body of the mouse. Frost rounded back of mouse. Insert piece of licorice between two halves for tail. Use white decorator gel for eyes, attaching mini morsels as pupils and pink gel for the nose. To make whiskers, squeeze a very small amount of white gel onto a teaspoon and use a toothpick as a brush to paint whiskers on. Insert almond slices into frosting for ears.

*If unable to find black string licorice, black licorice twists can be used. Using kitchen scissors, cut licorice twist into three 2 1/2-inch pieces, then cut each piece into 4 pieces to form tails.

No not at all.If you can't make homemade bread dough buy the frozen loaves, let it thaw and roll it out and spread the pepperoni out on it.Roll up jelly roll style pinch the ends closed and fold under, place seam side down and allow to rise for the recommended time for the bread, brush with beaten egg and bake according to the instructions, watch to make sure it doesn't burn.I put a lot of pepperoni on because that is the way we like it.I just buy pre made sauce to serve with it.I didn't have a recipe but my Mom used to buy it and sometimes it's hard to find so I came up with my own ( more Pepperoni ) everyone always likes it.My friends husband is Italian and he always teases me and says "You didn't make this" He always asks me to make it.lol.

Thank you Gale --- thank you again for such a good, fun recipe.  One I can do!!!
Mary L -- I don't have any kids but I "use" the kids at church for fun things.   And I love taking good food to church dinners.
This pepperoni bread will be a super treat at out next get-together.

Nancy, you are so talented with all the cookies you make.I love cookies but sometimes I just don't have the patience for them.I resort to the pan cookies, bars, brownies and cakes.I love to make bread. My Mom made bread every other day,I think that helped me in the raised dough department. One thing she made that I have never tried was strudel. She would stretch that dough out the size of a large table.Apple strudel with walnuts and raisins.Oh My! So Good!
