Thanks to Barbaras advice, I used the new dark chocolate chips instead of the chocolate called for in a recipe she just posted.
Fantastic cookies. Oh, they're good.

I agree The Nestles new Dark Chocolate morels are very good. The Dark Chocolate Brownies were great. Worth going off diet...lol. I agree the 12 oz. bag would be good.

Hi Diann ... welcome to VBB. I love those dark chocolate morsels too. I like them a lot more than the regular semi-sweet --- Isn't it odd to find a chip to like more than semi-sweet?
Those brownies are just plain remarkable!!

Some time ago I made the Ultimate Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies -

and they were very good.
This morning I was "thumbing" through the recipes here and saw the "old" one.
I made it again using the new Dark Chocolate. A subtle, delicious change.

I bake soooooooo much and I really, really want to switch completely to the Nestles Dark - I love that stuff - lol.
But I have lots of semi-sweet in the freezer so I've been using 1/4 - 1/2 that for what a recipe calls for.
is Dark.
And every single person who has tried one of my dark cookies likes it more too.

I "think" I meant to say that I use semi-sweet for 1/ 4 - 1/2 of the chips a recipe calls for. I use dark for the rest.

I checked locations online for stores that carry the dark chocolate chips and our city's larger Target store is on the list. So I drove a-l-l the way across town Friday to that Target to stock up on the chips. They didn't have them. I live in a suburb of Los Angeles and would love to know when we will be getting a supply of these new favorite chips!!!

I checked one of my stores that doubles coupons, hoping the 50¢ off a bag of dark bits would really be $1 off. They didn't have dark, but did have dark & mint

The only place around here that carries the dark chocolate chips is Target, and they haven't had them the last two times I have been there. Either sold out, or they didn't order them. What's going on Target?

Geez, I forgot all about looking for the dark chips since it's been so hot here. None of the stores I've checked have them yet. I may just have to take a trip to Target or the SuperWalmart to check it out.

Sat. I asked where the Nestle Dark Cho.morsels were & was told they are a seasonal item. What the heck makes them seasonal?????????

Thank Goodness!!!! Safeway has now stocked the Dark Chocolate Chips. I no longer have to go to Target to get them!! Plus Target has been out of them recently. Yes!!! Safeway!! You finally did it!. I did notice that the last issue of "Everyday Food" magazine had an add for the Dark Chocolate Chips.
