In Response to Re: Nestles new Dark Chocolate:
Tonight I took that fudge that I found so very good to the special people at church. The husband who gets such a kick out of my "stuff" grabbed a piece of fudge --- gobbled it but didn't look thrilled or anything. Oh, he smiled and said "thank you" but ..... I asked him what his opinion was and he said that this was very good but he preferred the old fashioned sort of fudge. My recipe sure isn't old fashioned. Does anyone still make old fashioned fudge? I make old fashioned divinity but all other candy is easy.

Nancy, He may not know what dark choc. is!!! What I know about old fashioned fudge is that they used cocoa
and cooked it on low for several hours. My friend gave me her grandma's recipe and I made it a long time ago.
It was a hard fudge and I really liked it. I make divinity for my Christmas care packages. I used to use my Mom's
recipe but now I use Paula Deen's because it makes a bigger batch. Did you save any fudge for later?
