Nestle's MINT chips are back!

In my little local Walmart today I found NESTLES MINT MORSELS....... the great combination of dark chocolate and pale green mint morsels. Oh, what cookies these make - especially chocolate cookies. I'm going to start buying all I can afford on every trip to the store so I have loads of them to save in my freezer.

And, this year, Nestles has bags of holiday chips ..... a pretty mixture of chocolate, green and red chips. I can't wait to try those!

Nancy thanks for the heads up...
I will have to make a run to Walmart to get a few bags before they run out.
I love the combo of dark chocolate and mint. Great in pies and cookies. And I have made cakes and added a hand full of the chocolate mint chips.
I just may make a cheesecake with the next bag.

Nikki - For a chocolate cookie I use the recipe on this site --- Mint Chocolate Delights. They are very good. For an un-chocolate ;^) cookie I use Nestles regular old chocolate chip recipe. I use that recipe for so many things.
And this site has a recipe for some chocolate mint bark that takes 45 seconds to make and 20 seconds to eat.

Those sound delish!! I am definitley going to have to try those. Have you ever tried the Andes peppermint pieces for baking? Those make excellent cookies also!

Hi Jaci ---- Those seasonal Nestles mint chips are delish. If I want a very minty taste in a cookie I pick out all the dark chips from the bag and use just the green.mint chips. I save the dark chips for another project.

Nancy, which state are you in? I haven't been able to find them in my walmart for the last couple of years. I'm in San Diego area. Went to WalMart this morning for the first try at finding them for the season, nothing yet. Jeannette

I just re-read the post. These are the green mint only chips you are talking about or the dark chocolate mint flavored chips? I am not a fan of the mint only and have been trying to locate the chocolate mint chips for a couple of years now. The flavor is blended and is just so yummy.

Hi Jeanette --- welcome to VBB. I live in rural, east central Missouri. Nestles seasonal mint chocolate chips come in a bag 1/2 full of dark chocolate chips and 1/2 full of pale green mint chips.
I wish we lived closer .... I'd give you a bag to sample.

Jeannette, Welcome to VBB. I live in the San Diego area also. Just went to Super Walmart
In the El Cajon and Lakeside area at the Los Coches exit off Interstate 8 this morning and
got the Winter Dark Choc. & Mint Morsels for $2.28 a bag and used the Nestle's coupon
from this site also. Check your Target stores too. Good luck in finding them.
