Who knows? I might have to try using mint extract for that mint chocolate fudge I want to try.But I would like to use Nestles mint chocolate morsels.I'm in Ohio and haven't found them here either.

Mint extract can be a bit strong.  Try some of the "Andes Mint" candy little rectangle bits can easily be chopped.  Or maybe a little peppermint schnapps.

Nikki - Andes makes mint chips ... their little rectangles  chopped fairly fine.  They are quite good but I think/hope Nestles tastes better.....  I know they are prettier in a cookie.

Sometimes you must ask the manager of the store if they will be getting the type of ingredient that you need. WalMart has what the majority of people use. You may have to go to the local grocery store to get special ingredients. Our local Publix stores has a lot of neat stuff even if at times it is a little more expensive that WalMart.

That's right! and I have a bag of the Andes mint chips in the refrigerator now.  Completely forgot it was there!  Just might look for a way to use them today.

'My' WalMart Super Center was supposed to have the mint chips "after Thanksgiving" ... they still don't.  The WalMart in the neighboring town is enormous (it's so large that it's hard to shop there) ...... maybe I'll soon get over there to see if they got them.

Do you live near a Giant Eagle grocery store?  My store near Hudson has had them for several weeks now.

I'm from the Akron area in Ohio.  My Giant Eagle grocery store has had the dark chocolate/mint chips for several weeks.  I made  several recipes of Nestle's recipes with them last year, and they were delicious.

I made my WalMart check in the neighboring town.  This WalMart is the HUGE one I've talked about.  No mint chips so I tracked down the person in charge of that dept.
She checked their records and stuff and told me it looked like they would not carry the Nestles mint chips at all this year.
Isn't that a disappointment?

I've seen them on the shelves in my local Target for weeks now as well.  I even have a bag in my freezer that I must have bought before.  I should stock up on some more cos I love mint recipes!

I think Dove candy may also come in mint.  Particularly odd since I think Dove candy is made by Nestle's. shapes.
